Netflix Reveals Matthew McConaughey as the Voice of Elvis in Trailer for Upcoming Animated Series 'Agent Elvis'

From the studio that brought Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse to life comes a wildly outrageous new animated series to Netflix called Agent Elvis. Though the series has been in the works at the streaming giant for a couple of years now under the original title, Agent King, the teaser trailer dropped today which confirmed a March release date and the fact that Academy Award-winning actor Matthew McConaughey (Dallas Buyers Club, True Detective) will voice the iconic Elvis Presley.

Agent Elvis does not showcase your typical King of Rock 'n' Roll, but rather in a very Archer-like take, McConaughey plays Presley as an ass-kicking secret agent for the TCB. When he's not performing his hit songs for millions of fans, he's taking down vigilantes for the program trading in his bedazzled jumpsuits for spy tools. The series is co-written by Elvis' ex-wife, Priscilla Presley and John Eddie with McConaughey acting as an executive producer. Oscar-nominated animator Robert Valley, who currently works on Love, Death and Robots and Invincible is assisting in designing Elvis' animated look for the show.
