Netflix Unveils First Trailer for Adaptation of Beloved Children's Novel 'The Magician's Elephant'

by Darian Scalamoni
Netflix has leaned into animation much more in recent years establishing popular titles such as Klaus, The Sea Beast and of course, Pinocchio. They have another animated film hitting the streamer next month based on the popular children's novel, The Magician's Elephant and we have the first trailer here for you on Cinema Wave.

The Magician's Elephant is an adaptation of the 2009 book of the same name that was written by Kate DiCamillo. It follows Peter, a boy who is looking for his long-lost sister when a fortune teller guides him to seek out the magician's elephant to find his sibling, leaving him with confusion. One day though, an elephant falls from the sky at a magic show leading Peter to follow it wherever it goes hopeful that it will lead him to his sibling. This looks to be another great original movie for Netflix based on a popular book, but more so, it does a great job of laying out the plot to the audience making it easy to root for Peter right away.

Check out the trailer below for The Magician's Elephant! The film features the voices of Noah Jupe, Pixie Davies, Benedict Wong, Sian Clifford, Brian Tyree Henry, Mandy Patinkin and Miranda Richardson. The Magician's Elephant begins streaming on Netflix on March 17.
