Everyone's favorite public school teachers are headed into the comic book universe of DC! Well, sort of. According to a report from Deadline, we have news that Abbott Elementary stars Quinta Brunson and Tyler James Williams will be lending their voices to DC as Hawkgirl and Hawkman in the upcoming Harley Quinn: A Very Problematic Valentine's Day Special for HBO Max.

The two stars of the ABC hit comedy series recently won Golden Globes for their roles in the series as evident by the image above. The image also provides a look of what this version of Hawkgirl and Hawkman will look like in the holiday special. Though it's said to be just a brief cameo explaining how they began their courtship, characters are known to return to the Harley Quinn series, so it might just be an introduction for a larger role in the future. The special will feature Harley and her girlfriend, Poison Ivy, celebrating their first Valentine's Day together, while also revealing how the rest of their crew celebrates the most romantic day of the year.

"As a Harley Quinn fan, I'm thrilled to lend my voice to the special and to team up with my Abbott Elementary creative partners, Justin Halpern and Patrick Schumaker and co-star Tyler James Williams for this fun episode," stated Brunson. While Williams added, "Harley Quinn is such a brilliant series and it is an honor to lend my voice to this special. I think the cameo is something both Abbott Elementary and DC fans will enjoy." Additional cast for the special includes Kaley Cuoco, Lake Bell, Alan Tudyk, Jim Rash, Rachel Dratch and many, many more.

The beloved and very-adult skewing animated series Harley Quinn was recently renewed for a fourth season on HBO Max with new showrunner Sarah Peters set to take over following Halpern and Schumaker's departure. Harley Quinn: A Very Problematic Valentine's Day Special begins streaming on HBO Max on February 9.
