Ruth Negga has quickly gotten name recognition in Hollywood for her work in films and television. She not only stars on the AMC show, Preacher but was also nominated for an Academy Award for Jeff Nichols’ Loving. Now, she’ll be teaming up with two amazing talents for her next project. According to The Playlist, Negga has joined Brad Pitt and Tommy Lee Jones in the sci-fi film, Ad Astra.

Ad Astra stars Pitt as Roy McBride, an autistic space engineer who goes on a one-way trip to Neptune to find out why his father’s mission to find signs of life on the planet failed. Jones will play Pitt’s father in the movie, while Negga’s role is being kept quiet. This cast is coming together very nicely and I’m a fan of all of these actors. Here’s hoping to see Negga and Pitt share the screen together for a few scenes.

Negga can be seen currently on AMC where Season 2 of Preacher is being aired. Expect her to continue to get more work sooner rather than later. I’d love to see her be tapped to have a role in a Tarantino or Fincher film. What do you guys think? Are you excited for Ad Astra? Let us know in the comments!
