Though the calendar has now turned to November, Peacock is staying in the realm of spooky stories and horror franchises with a new series around the makings of a horror icon. According to a story from Deadline, there is set to be a Friday the 13th prequel series that will follow the Voorhees family before the events that came at Camp Crystal Lake.

The series titled simply, Crystal Lake, is set to be steer headed by Bryan Fuller, who has experience adapting another successful horror prequel series, Hannibal, which follows Hannibal Lecter before the events of the film, The Silence of the Lambs. Fuller, more recently, co-created Star Trek: Discovery for CBS and Paramount. A24 will also be on as producers. Fuller has been involved in the Friday the 13th film franchise for quite a while, originally developing a movie in the slasher universe since 2013.

Though full details of the project are under wraps for now, one would think that Fuller's involvement is a positive development. Who would you like to see play a younger version of Jason Voorhees in Crystal Lake? What about Mrs.Voorhees? Sound off in the comments below!
