Dave Filoni is continuously stepping into the massive shoes created by George Lucas decades ago with Star Wars. Now, one of the characters that he created for The Clone Wars animated series is getting her own live-action series with Ahsoka, which just dropped its first trailer at Star Wars Celebration in the U.K.

Ahsoka Tano, the jedi in which this series centers around, made her live-action debut in The Book of Boba Fett played by Rosario Dawson. Creator, producer and showrunner extraordinaire Dave Filoni has steer headed the production of Ahsoka, which is a live-action continuation of another animated series he created, Star Wars: Rebels. Ahsoka is the apprentice of Anakin Skywalker and now aims to go to war with Grand Admiral Thrawn, an iconic alien adversary that entered the Star Wars canon in Rebels. We'll also see other characters from that series make live-action debuts with Natasha Liu Bordizzo playing Sabine Wren and Mary Elizabeth Winstead portraying Hera Syndulla.

Hayden Christensen is also confirmed to be joining the series, most likely as a force ghost in his form of Skywalker, while we also get a glimpse of Ray Stevenson's lightsaber-wielding villain who is said to be playing a former Jedi turned to the dark side.

Check out the first trailer below for Ahsoka! The series arrives on Disney+ in August.
