We're getting more updates on the upcoming Apple thriller Echo Valley with this next casting announcement as Domhnall Gleeson (Ex Machina, About Time) will join Sydney Sweeney and Julianne Moore in the film we reported on in March.

Echo Valley will star Moore as Kate Garretson, a mother who is faltering due to a personal tragedy, now spending her days boarding and trading horses at Echo Valley Farm. Late one night, her daughter Claire, played by Sweeney, appears at the front door trembling in fear as she's covered in someone else's blood. This event thrusts the story into motion turning Echo Valley into a chest-palpitating thriller showcasing how far Kate will go to save her child. BAFTA winner Michael Pearce will direct the movie for Apple Studios with a future release on AppleTV+.

Gleeson will play a local criminal who forces himself into Kate's life causing havoc amongst her quiet existence, further having secrets about the Garretson family. Gleeson is no stranger to playing these darker roles as he recently played a deranged character in the FX limited series The Patient alongside Steve Carell. He's also famous for playing the villainous General Hux in the new Star Wars trilogy as the right-hand man of Kylo Ren.

Gleeson will next be seen in the HBO series White House Plumbers where he'll play John Dean. The news of Gleeson's involvement in Echo Valley comes per Deadline.
