Ali Wong, Bowen Yang & Lucy Liu Amongst Cast for Netflix Animated Series 'Jentry Chau vs. the Underworld'

    Many have been concerned about the way that animation has been handled as of late across the streaming platforms, however, Netflix has always done well by its creators within the animation industry. Now, there's another exciting series heading to the streamer that has some inspired voice talents headlining.

    Ali Wong (Always Be My Maybe, Beef) will lend her voice and executive produce the upcoming supernatural animated series, Jentry Chau vs. The Underworld. Additionally, Bowen Yang (SNL), Lucy Liu (Shazam! Fury of the Gods), Lori Tan Chinn (Turning Red), Jimmy O. Yang (Crazy Rich Asians), Sheng Wang (Fresh Off the Boat) and Woosung Kim will also voice characters for the Netflix series. The series will be in 2D animation and also produced by Aron Eli Coleite (Locke & Key).

    Jentry Chau vs. The Underworld will star Wong as the titular character, a Chinese-American teen living in a small Texas town, who discovers that a demon king is hunting her for supernatural abilities she's always possessed but has been working her whole life to suppress. Chau gets help from her great-aunt who shadows as a weapons expert as well as a Chinese hopping vampire known as a jiangshi to fight against the underworld full of monsters while balancing her life as an everyday high schooler.
