I was
a really big fan of Togetherness
after Season 1. I loved the simple plot of it all but how realistic it was as a
dramedy about life, love and marriage. I didn’t get to finish Season 2 but it
was cancelled following the end of that season which is unfortunate because I
also really happen to love almost anything that the Duplass Brothers do.
Luckily, today, Collider
reports that the filmmaking brothers will bring a comedy anthology series to
HBO titled Room 104.
Limited
series have become a juggernaut the last few years with hits like American Horror/Crime Story, Fargo, The Night Of and Roots,
but a comedy anthology series is fresh and exciting for sure. The structure of
the show is simple, every episode will tell a different story about the
characters passing through and it will take place in a single, average hotel
room. With all the potential things that have/can happen within a hotel room, I’m
extremely excited to see where the Duplass Brothers can bring the audience with
this show.
The
two brothers also act in front of the camera as Mark Duplass was one of the
main characters on shows like The League
and Togetherness; while Jay Duplass
is currently co-starring in Amazon’s show, Transparent.
Room 104 is expected to begin
production later this year for a 2017 debut.
