Young Han Solo movie looking for their Lando, Donald Glover is the favorite

Ever
since the announcement of the Young Han Solo movie that will be released in
2018, there were questions surrounding who would have the pressure of playing
the legendary character first played by Harrison Ford. Well, directors Phil
Lord and Chris Miller (The Lego Movie,
21 Jump Street) selected Alden
Ehrenreich after an extensive auditioning process that included thousands of
actors but now, they’re on the search to fill another important Star Wars role.
According
to The
Playlist, Lord and Miller are turning their attention to fill the role of a
Young Lando Calrissian for the movie. Billy Dee Williams played the role of
Lando in the original trilogy. The casting process is already underway, and
though I’m sure it won’t be as large of an auditioning process as it was for
Han Solo, Lando is still a very recognizable character with tons of charisma on
screen. Though rumors already have Michael B. Jordan and Anthony Mackie as
strong favorites, it seems that the best potential fit (in my opinion) is who
the studio is actually thinking of for the role.
According
to Birth
Movies Death, it seems that Donald Glover, best known for playing Troy in Community, is the frontrunner for the
role. Glover can bring those funny comedic chops as well as the smoothness of
the character. Also, as seen in the trailers for his new FX series, Atlanta, he can be dramatic and serious.
What
do you guys think? Do you think Glover is the right guy for the role? Comment
