First Trailer for AppleTV+'s Star-Studded 'Extrapolations' Reveals Decade Spanning Anthology Series Focusing on the Impact of Climate Change

by Darian Scalamoni
AppleTV+ is known for gathering stars for their multitude of streaming series, however, their upcoming anthology series Extrapolations has so many stars that it's hard to list them all. We'll attempt that later on in this article, but now, the streamer has released the first trailer for the show that revolves around the potential impact and effects that climate change could have on our planet at large.

Extrapolations is described as an anthology series that depicts the effects of climate change on the planet through various different points of view through interconnected stories. While it's a harsh reality to work your brain around, the fact that the climate is altering our world each and every day is a terrifying thing. The trailer showcases just some of the amazing talent that is involved in this show as well as the fact that the series takes place over multiple decades. The show has Scott Z. Burns (The Report, Contagion) as showrunner, writer and director and considering his work in film with more intricate topics such as a potential pandemic, 9/11 and prescription medication, he seems to be the perfect voice for a series with a scale such as this.

Check out the first trailer for Extrapolations below! The series stars Eiza Gonzalez, Tobey Maguire, Marion Cotillard, Forest Whitaker, Murray Bartlett, Kit Harington, Keri Russell, Diane Lane, Meryl Streep, Heather Graham, Indira Varma, Gemma Chan, Judd Hirsch, Yara Shahidi, Matthew Rhys, David Schwimmer, Daveed Diggs, Michael Gandolfini and Tahar Rahim. Extrapolations will begin streaming on AppleTV+ on March 17.
