Disney is the epitome of a company that sticks to a formula. If one thing is working, they usually stick to that same routine in terms of creative output, running it into the ground until the ideas become stale and then they reset. One example of this is the string of live-action remakes that the studio has pumped out since the first attempt was a massive success in Jon Favreau's The Jungle Book. The latest headed to the Disney+ streaming service is Peter Pan & Wendy, and we have the first trailer and poster for you below.

This time around, its Alexander Molony & Ever Anderson (Young Natasha from Black Widow) leading the way as the titular characters. If you don't know the original story, Peter Pan is a young boy who gains the ability to fly from a small fairy who happens to be his best friend named Tinker Bell (played by Yara Shahidi). Pan then embraces Wendy and the rest of the Darling family into his home to stretch their imagination beyond the limits of their understanding. Wendy, though she feels a responsibility to take care of her siblings, longs for adventure and in the process falls for Peter Pan.

Additionally, the trailer gives the first look at Jude Law (Captain Marvel, The Talented Mr. Ripley) as the villainous Captain Hook. However, there is one thing in the bucket going for this film, with David Lowery (A Ghost Story, The Green Knight) coming in to direct the film after previously collaborating with Disney on the live-action version of Pete's Dragon

Check out the first trailer and poster below for Peter Pan & Wendy! The film begins streaming on Disney+ on April 28.
