First trailer for 'Flatliners' remake seems a little too familiar

            With the more recent trend in “reimaginings” or remakes as moviegoers call them, it seems that we have had some disappointments as of recently. Between Ghostbusters, Ben-Hur and even the recent start-up to Universal’s Dark Universe titled The Mummy, it seems there have been some serious misfires. Well it seems that trend might just continue with Flatliners, but we have the trailer for you to see for yourself.

            The “reimagining” if you will, of the 1990 film that starred Kiefer Sutherland, Julia Roberts, Kevin Bacon and Oliver Platt, follows a group of young med students who purposefully die and bring each other back to life to experience what actually happens to your life after death. They discover that what they first think is truly a beautiful portal turns out to be a kind of netherworld full of dark happenings and tragedies galore.

            Check out the trailer below for Flatliners! The film stars Ellen Page, Nina Dobrev, Diego Luna and James Norton. Flatliners opens in theaters on September 29^th.
