'The Conjuring' movie universe continues to grow, gets another spin-off, 'The Crooked Man'

        With The Conjuring being the most successful horror franchise in recent memory, with recent spin-off Annabelle and the upcoming movie, The Nun which releases next year, it seems that James Wan wants to continue to build this terrifying universe. According to THR, The Crooked Man will be the next character who gets their own film after he delivered his eerie nursery rhyme in last summer’s, The Conjuring 2.

            The Slender Man-type character’s movie has no details other than Mike Van Waes coming on to write the script which is based on a story from Wan. Warner Bros. has to be happy with all the money these movies are churning in and they expect no different with The Crooked Man.

            As for The Conjuring 3, there is no word if that movie will happen and if it does, when it will begin production. Wan is busy filming Aquaman for the DCEU so we might not get word for quite a bit of time.
