J.J.
Abrams and Stephen King is a dream pairing and with them working on a new
series for Hulu titled, Castle Rock,
it makes it one of the most anticipated series currently gearing up for
production. They continue to bolster the cast as The
Tracking Board reports that Melanie Lynskey has joined Andre Holland, Sissy
Spacek and Jane Levy for the drama.
The
show is based in a fictional town in the state of Maine. We’re told it has
plenty of mythological elements but it’s also character driven so an actress of
Lynskey’s talents will really benefit this series. Lynskey will play Molly
Strand, a woman with a rare medical condition who’s a real estate agent and
every third property is the site of someone’s worst nightmare. It certainly
sounds like a unique character and one that I think Lynskey could have a field
day with.
Lynskey
previously had a role on Two and Half Men
on CBS, as well as starred in Togetherness
on HBO with Mark Duplass. She also starred in in Netflix movie, I Don’t Feel at Home in This World Anymore earlier
this year.
