We’ve
been talking about this one for quite a while and now we finally have our first
footage in the trailer for Kenneth Branagh’s (Thor, Cinderella) remake of Murder
on the Orient Express! Branagh does double duty in the movie as he’s not
only behind the camera but also in front of it as the lead, Detective Hercule
Poirot.
The
film has one of the best casts of the year and takes place on a packed train
where one of the passengers is murdered which leads to Poirot to take matters
in his own hands and narrowing his suspects. The original 1974 feature that was
directed by Sidney Lumet is a classic so Branagh has his hands full but with
this cast, it’ll be hard for him to do wrong. Having said that, I was expecting
a little more from this trailer but I guess with such a simple premise it’s not
needed. I’m still very excited to see how this turns out and love the
production and character design based on what I’ve seen so far.
Check
out the first trailer below for Murder on
the Orient Express! The film stars Branagh, Johnny Dep, Michelle Pfeiffer,
Daisy Ridley, Leslie Odom Jr., Manuel Garcia Rulfo, Judi Dench, Olivia Colman,
Penelope Cruz, Sergei Polunin and Josh Gad. Murder
on the Orient Express opens everywhere on November 10th!
