The People v. O.J. Simpson was one of the greatest things in terms of television or film throughout 2016 and mostly because the acting was so spectacular. Though people had seen Courtney B. Vance, Sarah Paulson and Cuba Gooding Jr. in action before at a larger scale, there was a man who seemed to be this enigma every time he was on screen and that was Sterling K. Brown. Brown won an Emmy for his performance and now, according to Collider, we know that he will have a role in the upcoming Marvel movie, Black Panther.

Black Panther will be the origin story of the titular superhero whose real name is T’Challa, played by Chadwick Boseman. Boseman showcased his talents in the role when he was on screen in character for the first time in this past year’s, Captain America: Civil War. Sterling K. Brown is set to play N’Jobu, who is a figure from T’Challa’s past. This film has brought together an incredibly exciting cast and each and every announcement made for this movie makes me more excited. Not only the cast, but the fact that it is a Marvel movie being helmed by one of the best young directors in the industry today, Ryan Coogler (Creed, Fruitvale Station) also helps its cause.

Brown is set to also have a role in Marshall, the story about Thurgood Marshall in which Boseman also stars in. In addition to that, Brown currently has a starring role in This Is Us, the NBC drama that was just nominated for a Golden Globe. Black Panther is set to be released on February 16th, 2018 and stars Brown, Boseman, Michael B. Jordan. Lupita Nyong’o, Angela Bassett, Forest Whitaker, Danai Gurira and Andy Serkis.
