Peter Dinklage currently has one of best roles on television as Tyrion Lannister on HBO’s, Game of Thrones but it seems he may be heading to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. According to Variety, Dinklage is in early talks for a “key role” in Avengers: Infinity War. Marvel has yet to comment on any talks between the actor and the studio.

This wouldn’t be Dinklage’s first foray into superhero movies as he played the villain, Dr. Bolivar Trask in Fox’s X-Men: Days of Future Past. The current plan is that the Russo brothers (Captain America: Civil War, Captain America: The Winter Soldier) will shoot the next two Avengers movies back-to-back and sources say that Dinklage will appear in both films if he is indeed cast. Plot details about the movie are still vague but we do know that the superhero team will team up with almost all of the heroes in the MCU to take on the mad-titan, Thanos, played by Josh Brolin. It is unknown at this time what Dinklage’s role will be.

Dinklage just wrapped on the seventh season of Game of Thrones and with the next season expected to shoot in the fall, he would be able to board Avengers: Infinity War which is expected to shoot in the summer. In addition to Game of Thrones, Dinklage was also recently in The Boss alongside Melissa McCarthy.
