First trailer for Meg Ryan's directorial debut 'Ithaca' reunites her with Tom Hanks

It
has been 20 years since Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan shared the screen in the rom-com
classic, Sleepless in Seattle. Today,
we bring you the trailer for their next team up Ithaca, an adaptation of the classic novel The Human Comedy.
Ithaca tells the story of a young
bicycle messenger named Homer Macauley who is taking care of his mother and younger
brother due to his older brother, fighting in the war. This film marks Meg Ryan’s
directorial debut, she also stars as the widowed mother that Homer takes care
of.
The
trailer is put together very well and it looks to be a good little movie. The
preview also gives a preview of the folksy score created by John Mellencamp. Ithaca stars Alex Neustaedter, Meg Ryan,
Jack Quaid, Tom Hanks, Sam Shepard and Hamish Linklater. It opens in theaters
