It
has been long awaited for legendary director Warren Beatty to put out a movie
and it does look like this one will be a hit. Rules Don’t Apply is an unconventional love story that takes place
in 1958 and revolves around a religiously devout actress Marla Mabrey (Lily
Collins) and Frank Forbes (Alden Ehrenrich) her equally conservative driver,
both under the employment of the eccentric visionary filmmaker/pilot Howard
Hughes (Warren Beatty).
Though
the trailer is a bit all over the place, it looks like it could be a great deal
of fun. It’s presented oddly in context but again, it could all come together
to be a strong movie. The cast though is absolutely outstanding and it seems
like an interesting enough premise.
Rules Don’t Apply stars Collins,
Ehrenreich and Beatty along with Alec Baldwin, Annette Bening, Haley Bennett,
Matthew Broderick, Steve Coogan, Ed Harris, Oliver Platt and Martin Sheen. The
movie also gets an Oscar friendly release on November 23rd of this
year so keep your eyes open during awards season. Check out the trailer below!
