Daniel Radcliffe has been beloved for years for his
portrayal of Harry Potter within the multi-billion dollar franchise, but as of
late he’s chosen some different roles to get him away from the wizarding world.
Whether it’s his new indie hit, Swiss
Army Man alongside Paul Dano or this upcoming film titled, Imperium in which he plays a skinhead.
Potter as a skinhead sounds crazy and it is, but it’s not as American History X-ish as you think.
The
role is sure to be controversial as Radcliffe’s character is actually Nate
Foster, an undercover FBI agent. His mission is to infiltrate a gang of White
Supremacists in order to prevent a domestic terror attack, but by the looks of
this trailer, the chaos has already commenced. It’s for sure an interesting
role for Radcliffe, and I’m looking forward to seeing this one.
Check out the trailer for
Imperium below. The film also stars
Toni Collette and Tracy Letts and will be in theaters on August 19th.
