Marvel
didn’t make much of a presence at last year’s Comic-Con, well because, they
weren’t there for the first time in years. This year though, Kevin Feige was
able to bring tons of stuff for the people at Hall H including information on
films like Black Panther, Spider-Man: Homecoming, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 and Thor: Ragnarok but, he was also finally
able to reveal officially that Brie Larson will join the MCU as Captain Marvel.
It
was already expected for months that Larson would be taking on the role but
this is exciting news nonetheless. It’s a huge star for Marvel to get,
especially since Larson just won the Academy Award for indie movie, Room.
Captain Marvel will be released on March
8th, 2019 but there are rumors that she’s expected to show up in Avengers: Infinity War – Part 1 as an
introduction, similar to what Marvel did for Black Panther and Spider-Man in Civil War.
