I don’t
know if I’ve ever been so excited for a biopic as I am for this one but as a
huge wrestling fan my whole life, Vince McMahon has always warranted a movie
about his life and the rise of the WWE. Well, according to Deadline,
this is finally happening as the pro wrestling icon and visionary is getting a
movie titled Pandemonium.
Pandemonium will follow McMahon’s rise
to the top of the wrestling business as well as show some of his family’s
influences on him and his life in the business he helped shape. McMahon is
third generation so he’s followed in the footsteps of his grandfather Jess and
father, Vincent but Vince was the one who pushed the envelope and helped propel
wrestling to new heights. He helped mold the careers of greats like Hulk Hogan,
The Rock, Triple H, John Cena and Stone Cold Steve Austin just to name a few. I’m
curious to see who they get to portray McMahon on screen but my vote is Bryan
Cranston. It has to be someone who oozes charisma just as much as they can be
serious.
John
Requa and Glenn Ficarra (Crazy, Stupid,
Love, This Is Us) are set to direct the project which means there is talent
behind this production. They’ll be working with TriStar Pictures and WWE
Studios along the way. Hopefully, we get more details ASAP on this project that
has moved to one of my most anticipated movies in development.
