Kevin
Hart continues to be a consistent box-office draw and though he doesn’t have a
film released yet this year, it’s easy to see that success continuing. He’s
even getting involved in Hollywood remakes nowadays as Deadline
reports Hart has signed on to star in the remake of the 1988 comedy, The Great Outdoors.
The
original film starred Dan Aykroyd and John Candy and followed a man who planned
a relaxing outdoor camping trip but is interrupted when his in-laws come to
visit. The legendary John Hughes penned the script of the original and Randall
Green will be taking over writing duties this time around. It sounds like it
could be a family driven comedy for Hart and I’m curious to see who they pair
him up with this time around after working recently alongside Dwayne Johnson,
Will Ferrell and Ice Cube in various projects.
Hart
has some blockbuster-type movies coming out that include Captain Underpants: The First Epic Movie and Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle. He’ll also get his first shot at
dramatic work as he’ll co-star in Untouchable
alongside Bryan Cranston and Nicole Kidman.
