It’s
been a major part of news in Hollywood that Tim Miller, the director of Deadpool was exiting the superhero
sequel due to creative differences with the star and producer of the movie, Ryan
Reynolds but he’s got another interesting project in the works. According to Collider,
Miller has been brought aboard to be an executive producer on the upcoming Sonic the Hedgehog movie.
This
is incredibly exciting news. Miller did such an amazing job with Deadpool and brought such a level of
energy that made the movie so fun and that’s what this movie will need. Jeff
Fowler, a long-time partner of Miller’s will make his directorial debut in the
CGI/live-action hybrid based on the legendary video game franchise. If you’ve
never heard of Sonic, he’s a hedgehog who has a multitude of other animal friends
and foil the plans for the villainous, Doctor Eggman Robotnik
It’s
a shame that there might be bad blood between Miller and Reynolds as I think
the actor would provide a great voice for Sonic. Miller has also just signed on
to direct Influx, a cyber-thriller
based on Daniel Suarez’s best-selling book. Once there is more news on the Sonic the Hedgehog film, we’ll be able
to share that with you.
