Thanks
to Warner Bros., we have received a new trailer for the upcoming drama, Collateral Beauty which just so happens
to be in my top 5 anticipated movies for the rest of the year. The film is
directed by David Frankel (The Devil
Wears Prada, Marley & Me) and tells the story of a successful New York
advertising executive who suffers a personal tragedy and retreats from his
daily life. He tries to seek answers by writing letters to Love, Time and Death
only to receive encounters with the human equivalents to these elements.
The
cast of this film alone should get you to the theater. Will Smith, Edward
Norton, Kate Winslet. That’s not even close to being the whole cast and right
there you have twelve Oscar nominations between the three of them.
Unfortunately, I would’ve been looking forward to this even more of Me and Earl and the Dying Girl director,
Alfonso Gomez-Rejon was still attached but now we have Frankel. He doesn’t have
the best track record but I can tell you from what I’ve seen from the first two
trailers that I’m still very excited to see this movie.
Collateral Beauty opens in theaters on
December 16th. In addition to Smith, Norton and Winslet, it also
stars Helen Mirren, Keira Knightley, Michael Pena and Naomie Harris. Check out
the new trailer below!
