It’s
been a hell of a week in Hollywood with some awesome news and looks at upcoming
films and it’s gotten even better today thanks to a trailer drop from Warner
Bros and DC Films. They have dropped the second trailer for Wonder Woman that is packed with new
footage and I’m even more excited for this movie now than I was previously.
The
upcoming DC superhero film is the first standalone female picture for this new
superhero revolution and puts Gal Gadot in the title role. The Amazonian
warrior princess teams up with pilot Steve Trevor to go fight in The Great War.
The origin story looks to be DC’s own version of Captain America: The First Avenger and there’s nothing wrong with
that. Director Patty Jenkins (Monster)
appears to have done a magnificent job with this movie in the DC Extended
Universe and I can’t wait to see the finished product.
Wonder Woman opens everywhere next
Summer on June 2nd, 2017. In addition to Gadot, it also stars Chris
Pine, Robin Wright, Connie Nielsen, David Thewlis, Lucy Davis and Danny Huston.
