It
seems that every year, there is an Oscar frontrunner in some categories whether
that be Best Picture, Best Animated Feautre or the acting categories and with
the new trailer for Jackie, it seems
that Natalie Portman is headed for a second Academy Award as Jackie Kennedy. Produced
by Darren Aronofsky, who directed Portman to her first Oscar in Black Swan, Jackie looks tremendous and
you can get a look at it with the new trailer below.
The
film focuses on Kennedy’s harrowing days following the death of her husband,
John F. Kennedy and the transition of power upcoming in Washington. It’s been regarded
as intimate a film as you’ll ever see as it provides a look at exactly what the
First Lady dealt with after her husband was assassinated. This looks to me to
be one of the best upcoming movies for the rest of the year and the trailer is
gorgeous. I can’t wait to see this movie.

In addition to Portman, the movie also stars Greta Gerwig, Billy Crudup, John
Hurt and Peter Sarsgaard. The movie opens everywhere on December 2nd.
