For
all of those who have patiently awaiting some more news on the big-screen
adaptation of the video game, Minecraft,
do not fear as we have news on who will star in the movie. According to Slash Film,
Steve Carell is in talks to join the movie being produced by Warner Bros.
Carell
is an exciting person to join this movie yet we don’t know how they’re going to
structure this movie visually. He’s a credible actor though so if he joins it’s
a positive. Having said that, video game movies haven’t had a giant success yet
so people shouldn’t hold out for this. Rob McElhenney (Mac from It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia) is
set to direct and he’s also responsible for creating one of the longest running
comedies of modern times so that could be a positive.
Minecraft is set to hit theaters on May
25th, 2019. How do you guys feel about Carell joining the cast?
