Jessica
Chastain doesn’t get as much appreciation as she should. Her performance in Zero Dark Thirty, was one of the best I’ve
ever seen to be honest and she’s incredibly diverse. Yesterday, we received the
first trailer for The Zookeeper’s Wife
starring that same actress that just further shows off her talents.
The
film is based on the 2007 book written by Diane Ackerman about husband and wife
zookeepers who convinced a Nazi zoologist to let them keep their property as a
pig farm, whole behind his back, they hid Jews escaping persecution and death.
This movie has a mixture of everything between grand scenery, adorable zoo
animals and a harsh WWII setting.
I
loved this trailer as it had a real compassion and humanity to it. Not only that,
but this is a magnificent story as it was a tremendous risk for this woman to
keep these people that were constantly being hunted on her property each and
every day.
Check
out the trailer below for The Zookeeper’s
Wife starring Chastain, Johan Heldenbergh and Daniel Bruhl. The movie opens
on March 31st, 2017.
