Andy Goddard to Direct Rolling Stones Movie
By Darian Scalamoni |
The
Rolling Stones are one of the most legendary musical acts of all-time. Though
they haven’t had a narrative based film on their career, there has been plenty
of documentaries showcasing the band and Martin Scorsese loves to use their
music in his films but now we have a potential project on the horizon that will
showcase the band in a new way.
Per Deadline,
Andy Goddard is set to helm the feature titled, Exile on Main Street: A Season in Hell with the Rolling Stones
based on the book about the band and their album released in 1972. As of now,
there is no details on who will be playing the roles of Mick Jagger and Keith
Richards but its hard not to be excited to see who will portray the legends on
screen.
Goddard
is known mostly for television after directing episodes of Downton Abbey, Daredevil and
the upcoming Marvel series, Luke Cage.
He recently screened his film A Kind of
Murder at the Tribeca Film Festival this year which stars Patrick Wilson,
Haley Bennett and Jessica Biel.
