The
long awaited new HBO series Westworld
finally has received a trailer. The upcoming television program is produced by
JJ Abrams and The Dark Knight
screenwriter, Jonathan Nolan. Westworld
is based on the novel from Michael Crichton and tells the tale of an amusement
park where you enter a fake, robot-filled Western realm. This version of the
story however, seems to put a completely different spin on the story.
HBO
has had problems as of late, especially with dramas. Though, Game of Thrones is still a tremendous
show and drawing big numbers, it is reaching its inevitable end. Vinyl hasn’t done anywhere near the
ratings that the premium network expected and then there’s not much more after
that. Even with this show there was potential cold feet as production was
halted because Nolan wanted a few rewrites.
The
good news is though, the show looks extremely promising. The cast includes
Anthony Hopkins, Ed Harris, Evan Rachel Wood, James Marsden, Thandie Newton,
Jeffrey Wright, Tessa Thompson and Clifton Collins Jr. The program debuts on
HBO in October. Enjoy the trailer below!
