Steven Soderbergh (Ocean’s Eleven, Traffic) is known for handling big ensemble casts as seen in the
Ocean’s trilogy, he has recently added two more names for his newest film, Logan Lucky. According to The Playlist,
Hilary Swank and Katherine Waterston have joined the upcoming crime movie from
the storied director.
Logan Lucky revolves around two brothers
who attempt to pull off a heist at a NASCAR race. It is expected that Swank
will play the FBI agent that tracks down the brothers. The tremendous cast also
includes, Daniel Craig, Channing Tatum, Riley Keough, Adam Driver, Katherine
Heigl and Seth MacFarlane. It is unknown at this time who Waterston will be
playing in the movie.
Swank
hasn’t had much success with her most recent releases New Year’s Eve, Conviction
and Amelia but this looks to be a
role to get her in the right direction. She also is signed on for Alejandro
G.Inarritu’s (Birdman, The Revenant) upcoming TV series The One Percent and 55 Steps directed by Billie August. Waterston was seen as Chrisann
Brennan in Steve Jobs last year as

Vice. She will be seen later this year in Harry Potter spinoff, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.
She is also the lead in Ridley Scott’s Alien:
Covenant due out on August 4th 2017.
