It’s official,
one of the year’s hottest shows, 13
Reasons Why is getting a second season order from Netflix. Many were
skeptical that the show would continue following the conclusion of the first
season and Ross Butler, who is leaving the show due to “other commitments” but
according to THR,
the show will in fact get a second season.
Sources
say that “a writers room for the sophomore run has been up and running for a
few weeks”. Though Butler won’t return to the teen drama, Dylan Minnette and
Justin Prentice to further explore more stories that have to do with their
characters. The big hang-up for 13
Reasons Why going forward is making an original story with the characters
as the finale of the season ended just as the original book did.
It
sure is interesting news for the series to go off book and move forward with a
second season. The show ended perfectly in the eyes of many so it’s a bit of a
shock but since the show is one of the hottest of 2017, it’s not that
surprising that it’s getting a sophomore season. What do you guys think? Are
you excited that 13 Reasons Why is
getting a second season? Sound off in the comments and let us know.
