Netflix
is entering the miniseries game in a big way with their latest, Gypsy starring Naomi Watts. The
psychological thriller got its first teaser this weekend that reveals the
latest project with the Oscar-nominated Watts and we have that for you below!
Gypsy follows Jean Holloway, played by
Watts, a therapist based out of Manhattan who seems to have a relatively
attractive lifestyle who develops intimate and unlawful relationships with her
patients outside the office. Her professional career and personal fantasies
become a blurred line as she descends into a life in which her forces of desire
begin to take hold on her reality. This teaser is fantastic and just further
proves how great Watts is at types like this that she started with back in Mulholland Dr. I’m excited to see this
as it joins the rest of the June slate for Netflix that includes the return of Orange is the New Black as well as Jenji
Kohan’s latest series GLOW.
Watts
has an incredibly busy schedule ahead that includes roles in Colin Trevorrow’s The Book of Henry, The Glass Castle that
also stars Woody Harrelson and Brie Larson and the revival of Twin Peaks that will air on Showtime.
Check out the trailer below for Gypsy.
The show also stars Billy Crudup, Sophie Cookson, Lucy Boynton and Karl
Glusman. Gypsy is available to stream
on Netflix starting June 30th.
