It
was six years ago that J. Edgar Hoover got his long-awaited biopic that starred
Leonardo DiCaprio as the head of the FBI directed by the incomparable Clint
Eastwood, but now, his right-hand man is getting a movie of his own. The film
titled, The Silent Man that will
cover the life of Mark Felt has just been picked up by Sony Pictures Classics
and we have a clip for the film below.
The
movie that was originally titled, Felt,
covers the titular No. 2 for Hoover and had the nickname, Deep Throat. Deep
Throat was known for being the whistle blower and primary source for the
Washington Post reporters who uncovered the Watergate scandal that brought down
the Nixon administration. It’s an incredibly timely film with the recent firing
of FBI head, James Comey by President Donald Trump. The clip is pretty stellar
and shows just how great of an actor Liam Neeson truly is, I’m excited to see
the finished film.
Check
out the clip below for The Silent Man!
The movie stars Liam Neeson, Diane Lane, Maika Monroe, Ike Barinholtz, Tom Sizemore,
Bruce Greenwood, Brian d’Arcy James and Michael C. Hall. The film is also
directed by Peter Landesman, who previously helmed Concussion and Parkland.
