Yet another big-time character actor has joined the Star Wars universe’s next flick as Variety is reporting that Michael K. Williams is in talks to join the Han Solo spinoff film. The tentpole anthology film just began production a couple of weeks ago, and Williams is the most recent name to join the latest movie from Phil Lord and Chris Miller (The Lego Movie, 21 Jump Street).

The movie revolving around the early adventures of the scoundrel known as Han Solo already has brought together a remarkable cast led by Alden Ehrenreich as Solo. It’s not known at this time who Williams will play in the film but it’s said to be a “major” character, then again, most roles within the Star Wars universe are well known by massive fandom. The latest Star Wars adventure, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story was the first spinoff/anthology movie since Disney purchased Lucasfilm and grossed over a billion dollars worldwide. Other cast members include Donald Glover, Emilia Clarke, Woody Harrelson, Thandie Newton and Phoeber Waller-Bridge.

Williams is best known for his television work starting back in the HBO series, The Wire. Since then he’s gone on to have roles in The Night Of, Boardwalk Empire and Hap and Leonard. He’s also had film roles in 12 Years a Slave, The Road, Gone Baby Gone and RoboCop just to name a few. Williams is also attached to the long-in-development, Dirty White Boy, the biopic on the life of rapper Ol’ Dirty Bastard from Wu Tang Clan.
