The It remake has had plenty of issues since
it had begun development. Originally, Cary Fukunaga was supposed to helm the
film based on the Stephen King novel but now Andres Muschietti (Mama) is directing with Bill Skarsgaard
starring as Pennywise in the first trailer.
The
trailer showcases the last moments of a young boy’s life running down a flooded
street before his paper boat floats into the sewer and revealing the horrifying
clown. The preview for the horror flick also reveals nods to the original book
including the house at 29 Neibolt Street as well as the fire at the Black Spot.
This could quite possibly be the best trailer of the year thus far and truly
exceeded my expectations. Skarsgaard looks terrific as Pennywise the Clown.
Also, with Finn Wolfhard from Stranger
Things as one of the Losers, you can count me in for being there for
opening night.
Check
out the trailer for It below! The
film stars Skarsgaard, Wolfhard, Jarden Lieberher, Jack Dylan Grazer, Jackson
Robert Scott, Wyatt Oleff, Chosen Jacobs and Jeremy Ray. It opens in theaters on September 8th.
