It’s
been quite a few years since the release of Wreck-It
Ralph but this past week at CinemaCon details were revealed for the
long-awaited sequel. The first detail that we learned is the official title,
now being called Ralph Breaks the
Internet: Wreck-It Ralph 2. It’s a bit wordy but it goes along well with
the plot.
Ralph Breaks the Internet: Wreck-It Ralph 2
(see it doesn’t roll of the tongue so easily) has Ralph, Vanellope, Sergeant
Calhoun and Fix-It Felix all returning for a new adventure in the world of the
internet and online gaming. Co-director Rich Moore was quoted talking about the
film, “To take these characters we love and have them enter the enormous world
of the internet has given us so much to explore. Our production team has been
hard at work designing a world that takes something we all think we know – the internet
– but shows it in a whole new, imaginative way.” Sure, sounds good to me; as a
huge fan of the original movie, I’m very excited to see if they can recapture
that same charm that the first movie brought to the table.
Ralph Breaks the Internet: Wreck-It Ralph 2
opens in theaters on March 9th, 2018. John C. Reilly, Sarah
Silverman, Jane Lynch and Jack McBrayer all return as their beloved characters
for the sequel to the 2012 Disney animated feature.
