Mega movie star Brad Pitt has been dedicating most of his time in the industry towards producing in the last few years acting as a Producer and Executive Producer in projects like HBO’s The Normal Heart, Selma, The Big Short (which he also co-starred in), Netflix’s The OA and the upcoming film Okja along with awards fare like Best Picture winners, 12 Years a Slave and Moonlight. Now, he’s working his way back into acting as the trailer for another Netflix movie in which he’s also producing titled War Machine has released its first teaser.

War Machine is the satirical war film based on the book The Operators: The Wild & Terrifying Inside Story of America’s War in Afghanistan that revolves around Pitt’s character General Stanley McChrystal who oozes confidence and charisma who was cut down by an expose by a journalist. You can get the true vibe from the trailer that Pitt is perfect for this character and though there isn’t a ton of footage shown, it seems like it could be a socially conscious but hilarious movie for the streaming giant. Netflix has been acquiring films left and right to distribute and can soon see themselves in the Oscar race similar to what Amazon just did with Manchester by the Sea. War Machine is just one of the films in their loaded slate that also includes David Ayer’s Bright and Bong Joon-Ho’s Okja. Both of those films just released teasers over the weekend and this film is next in line.

Check out the teaser for War Machine below! The film’s incredible ensemble includes Pitt, Tilda Swinton, Ben Kingsley, Anthony Michael Hall, Topher Grace, Will Poulter, Keith Stanfield, Emory Cohen, John Magaro, RJ Cyler and Scoot McNairy. War Machine is directed by David Michod (Animal Kingdom, The Rover) and is available to stream on Netflix starting May 26th.
