It’s
been quite a while since we’ve heard any news regarding one of the most sophisticated
auteurs of Hollywood, David Fincher (Fight
Club, The Social Network) as his last film Gone Girl hit theaters three years ago. After efforts to bring two
shows, Utopia and Videosyncrazy to HBO, it seems his other
show Mindhunter will return to
Netflix which also launched his show House
of Cards.
Mindhunter is based on the nonfiction
book, Mind Hunter: Inside the FBI’s Elite
Serial Crime Unit written by John Douglas and Mark Olshaker. The book
follows Douglas’ work as an FBI profiler who tracked serial killers, and you
can get the sense from the trailer that the show will appeal to all huge
Fincher fans.
Check
out the trailer for Mindhunter below.
The show stars Jonathan Groff, Holt McCallany and Anna Torv. Mindhunter premieres on Netflix in
October.
