David
Lowery (Pete’s Dragon, Ain’t Them Bodies
Saints) is a name that you’re going to want to remember for years to come.
After his debut feature, Ain’t Them
Bodies Saints was garnered well with critics and featured a tremendous
ensemble that included Casey Affleck and Rooney Mara, he latched onto a bigger
film that he made his own, Pete’s Dragon.
His next film reunites Lowery with Mara and Affleck in a fantasy film titled A Ghost Story that was hidden from the
public until Sundance back in January. Luckily for us, the trailer for the film
was dropped yesterday and we have it right here for you!
A Ghost Story follows Affleck’s
character who dies in a car accident and comes back as a ghost and proceeds to
watch over his wife, played by Mara. The trailer is different than anything I’ve
seen as its far from a horror movie, but it’s also not easy to categorize as a
romance flick. Though some labelled the film as strange and unorthodox, it still
garnered positive reviews and should be a moviegoing experience you don’t want
to miss.

The film stars Rooney Mara and recent Oscar-winner, Casey Affleck. A Ghost Story opens in theaters on July
7th.
