With
just under two weeks to go until the live-action Beauty and the Beast film is unveiled to audiences everywhere, Disney
has released another clip from the movie featuring Josh Gad as LeFou and Luke
Evans as Gaston singing “Gaston”!
The
trailers and images that have been revealed over the past few months have had
people clamoring to see this movie but in my opinion, these clips have been the
best things I’ve seen thus far. Since they’re actual clips from the film
itself, it’s a great sign for Disney that they kept the spirit of the original
animated film within the aesthetic of the live action version. When Gad was
cast as LeFou it was an instant money maker and perfect casting. He has the
musical chops as he originated the lead character of Elder Arnold Cunningham in
the Broadway musical, The Book of Mormon
and has even the look down for the vexing supporting character. Evans sure does
have the look down as well and though we only get a little taste of how he
sounds, it’s noticeably different from the deeper singing voice but is
refreshing.
Check
out the clip below of LeFou and Gaston singing “Gaston”! The film stars Gad,
Evans, Emma Watson, Dan Stevens, Kevin Kline, Ewan McGregor, Stanley Tucci,
Audra McDonald, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Ian McKellen and Emma Thompson. Beauty and the Beast opens in theaters
on March 17th.
